About Mrs. Lisa
I am from the Duluth, Minnesota area and have lived in Wisconsin for the past 28 years with my husband, Dan. We have five children: Elizabeth (28 years), Timothy (26 years), Luke (23 years), Benjamin (21 years), and Caroline (6 years). Two of our children are married (Beth & Robbie and Tim & Marina). Tim and Marina have two children, Evelynn ( 2 years) and Elias (7 months). I love spending time with my family, and I enjoy reading, baking, playing piano, crocheting, and exercising.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood from the University of Wisconsin-Superior, and a Montessori teaching diploma from the North American Montessori Center. I am entering my twenty-first year of teaching. I taught in the Hayward School District for three years, primarily teaching preschool. I taught in the Birchwood School District for eleven years, with my first three years being a multi-age (Preschool - 6th grade) project-based at the Birchwood Discovery School, and eight years teaching preschool and kindergarten at the Birchwood Public Montessori.
This is my seventh year teaching 4K and kindergarten, my second year as the reading interventions, and teaching 4th grade for the Cameron Academy of Virtual Education (CAVE). I love working together with families to meet children where they are at, to observe their progress, and to have fun learning together! I am so thankful for the opportunity to work with the great staff, families, and students!
